Take Your Kids to "Work" Day
Bud's not a big fan of "Take Your Kid to Work Day". His job is pretty boring to children and the kids would go nuts after about 20 minutes at his office. So, they hung out with me and we had lunch with Bud then went to the children's museum. It was a pretty nice day.

Temple Walk
On April 20th, the Lone Mountain Ward Young Women walked from our church building to the Las Vegas temple. A total distance of about 18 miles across the city. It was an amazing experience. We did it for a couple of reasons. First, our Stake's Pioneer Trek was coming up in June so we had been walking every Saturday in preparation for the temple walk and trek. The biggest reason though was we wanted this walk to be the hardest trip to the temple the girls ever made. It was pretty hard too. My feet held up fine and I really did ok for the most part, but I was so tired after! Everyone thought we were walking for breast cancer with our pink shirts on, but that was ok. We made it in a little over 5 hours. We had a great lunch up at the temple, then a little fireside, then got to drive home. There were some scary parts along the way, but the girls were troopers and did great. My favorite part was the last vignette almost by the temple, my little girls and a few others sang a song to all those walking. They were so cute!

Jacob and Jonah's 11th Birthday!
The twins 11th birthday was April 10. Thank goodness it wasn't another golden birthday! We played this one much more low-key this year, but they still had a good time. They each got to choose a friend and we went to the Mini Grand-Prix. Jen watched the girls for me, so it was really a nice time getting to be with these boys who are old enough just to do what they wanted. They spent most of their time on the go-karts. William had never been before and on his first loop sped through the parking area and miraculously managed to get through it without hitting a parked car or crashing. His face was hilarious though. That night we just had a casual family party. It was a really nice day! These boys are my miracle babies and I really do thank my Heavenly Father every day for letting them be here. They are the best sons a mom could ask for!

April Fools!
I love April Fools! Most of the time it sneaks up on me or I don't plan ahead, but this year I got a couple little pranks in that were fun. First of all, the Kerl's were still in town, but because the twins had the CRT's to prepare for, I made them go to school even though the girls didn't have to. I let them go in late though, but when we pulled up to the school, I said, "April Fools!" and started to drive away. They got big smiles on their faces, but then I said "April Fools again!" and stopped and made them go to school. They weren't too happy with me, but it is kind of hilarious!
Then, after the kids got home from school, I asked them if they wanted some strawberries and sugar. They were all excited, but the sugar was salt and then they weren't so excited. I love being a mom!
